Colby originally founded Langston Law Firm in 2014 before partnering with Evan Weems in 2018 to form LANGSTON & WEEMS PLLC on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Colby is licensed and practicing in all Mississippi state and federal courts. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar, and has successfully handled and tried cases to verdict in City Courts, Municipal Courts, County Courts, Chancery Courts, Circuit Courts, and Federal Court.  He has also represented individuals in criminal and family law cases, although his primary focus is on injury and negligence cases.

Colby is a proud lifelong Mississippian, and has lived throughout the State, including in Booneville where he grew up, in Jackson while completing three degrees, and on the Mississippi Coast since starting this firm.  Now, several years later, Colby considers the Coast his home and enjoys the many new connections and opportunities the move has offered.

Colby believes studying law, business, economics, and political science has provided him with a unique outlook and set of skills he employs to passionately help individuals who have suffered traumatic and complex injuries through the fault of another.

Colby volunteers as a high school mock trial judge for student competitions; participates in lawyer volunteer projects where lawyers help community members with cases for no charge; contributes to several local non-profits including food banks; and volunteers as a coach for his children's' sports.  Colby is also a member of the Mississippi Association for Justice Pro-Bono Committee and serves on the board of the Mississippi Lawyers and Judges Assistance Committee.  Colby is a Mississippi Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Lawyer according to the National Trial Lawyer Association.  Recently, Colby was selected as a member of the 2023-2024 Leadership Mississippi Bar class.

Colby graduated from Booneville High School, a public school located in Prentiss County, Mississippi.  He then enrolled at Millsaps College where he received a B.S. in Public Management in 2010. Colby played for the Millsaps Majors football team, and is proud to have won four consecutive conference championships while playing linebacker. He then attended the Millsaps Else School of Management and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011. After receiving his MBA, Colby obtained his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law in 2014 during which time he interned with the Mississippi Attorney General.

Colby lives in Long Beach, Mississippi, with his wife Jessica Langston, his son, and daughter.

When not counseling clients, Colby enjoys fishing, eating Gulf Coast seafood, and exploring the Gulf Coast with his family.
